Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients efficiently and compassionately, taking accurate vital signs and histories
• Perform 12-lead EKG/ECG and pulse oximetry to support cardiology assessments
• Prepare charts and maintain EPIC documentation so providers have what they need
• Handle telephone triage and inbasket items to keep patient care moving smoothly
• Complete authorization forms, insurance verifications, and pharmacy refill requests
• Support clinic flow by floating to nearby satellite sites as needed (scheduled in advance)
• Communicate clearly with patients and the care team to ensure a positive patient experience
• Contribute to a safe clinic environment by following policies, infection control, and BLS protocols

Qualifications

• Minimum: 6 months experience working as a Medical Assistant (0.5 years)
• EPIC experience is required — familiarity with charting and inbasket workflows
• BLS certification required
• MA-C preferred; MA-R accepted
• At least a GED is required
• Reliable private transportation required (public transit is not sufficient)
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Willingness to float between clinics (Bellevue, Ballard, Edmonds, Redmond) when scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• MA-C certification preferred (MA-R accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
• Skilled in taking vital signs, height/weight, and pulse oximetry
• Experienced performing 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Able to complete authorization forms and insurance verification
• Comfortable with telephone triage and pharmacy refill calls
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Team-oriented attitude and flexibility to support nearby clinics
