Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality med-surg nursing care during night shifts to support patient recovery and safety
• Perform timely patient assessments and continuous monitoring, escalating changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications accurately and document responses in line with facility policies
• Complete CNE-required competency exams and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues, physicians, and support staff to coordinate care plans and handoffs
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and ensure compliance with license and verification requirements

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required)
• Med-Surg nursing experience (clinical competency in med-surg care)
• BLS certification required
• Completion of CNE Specialty Competency, Basic EKG, Pharmacology and Core Competency exams as required
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, TB screening, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, fit testing)
• Ability to pass license/certificate verification and facility onboarding checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Med-Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Medication administration and pharmacology knowledge
• Basic EKG interpretation and monitoring
• Patient assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork during night shifts
