Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams across neuro, abdominal and musculoskeletal studies using Siemens equipment
• Operate PACS and EPIC for image handling and accurate electronic documentation
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs when required, following safety protocols
• Execute advanced imaging protocols and post-processing: ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, MPR, perfusion and spectroscopy
• Ensure patient safety and comfort for oncology, stroke and trauma patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, diagnostic-quality images
• Maintain equipment and surface coils, troubleshoot common issues, and escalate as needed
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting float needs and participating in orientation

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (MRI) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid Ohio state license required
• Experience with Siemens MRI systems and PACS required
• Comfortable working night shifts and weekend block schedules
• Travel experience is required for this role
• Familiarity with EPIC for electronic documentation
• Flu vaccine required per facility guideline (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Knowledge & Skills

• MRI imaging: neuro, abdominal, pelvic, chest, MSK (hip, knee, shoulder), spine (C/T/L)
• Advanced sequences and techniques: CINE (CSF flow), peripheral MRA, spectroscopy, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo
• Post-processing skills: ADC mapping, image subtraction, MIP, MPR, perfusion analyses
• Surface coil selection and optimization; T1 & T2 weighted imaging; spin echo techniques
• Contrast media preparation and peripheral IV insertion
• Experience with Siemens MRI platforms and PACS workflow
• EPIC electronic charting familiarity
• Comfort with oncology, stroke workups and trauma imaging priorities
• Basic EKG knowledge as it relates to imaging workflows
