Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Operate GE MRI equipment and follow established imaging protocols
• Position patients accurately and explain procedures in a clear, reassuring way
• Ensure MR safety compliance and screen patients for contraindications
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and nursing staff to deliver seamless care
• Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation in Meditech and PACS
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and assist with urgent imaging needs
• Participate in quality improvement efforts to enhance imaging services on the unit

Qualifications

• ARRT or ARMIT certification required for MRI technologists
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant MRI or radiology imaging experience required, 2 years preferred
• Texas licensure or ability to obtain TMB credentials as needed
• Comfortable working weekends and night shifts for the duration of the assignment
• Strong patient care skills and professional communication

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with MRI systems, including GE equipment
• Solid understanding of MR safety and screening procedures
• Familiarity with PACS and Meditech electronic medical record systems
• Skilled at patient positioning, anatomy recognition and imaging protocol selection
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary imaging team
• Good documentation practices and attention to image quality and detail
