Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately in the chart
• Monitor resident conditions, report changes, and escalate when needed
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident dignity
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility policies
• Support admissions, discharges and overnight observations as required

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts LPN license or RN license in good standing
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing or registered nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable administering medications and performing routine assessments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to perform job duties required for long-term/post-acute care settings

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program for LPNs
• Graduation from an accredited Associate/Bachelor nursing program for RNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
• Resident assessment and charting in electronic medical records
• Familiarity with long-term care/rehabilitation nursing workflows
• Time management and prioritization during night shift responsibilities
• Professional bedside manner and clear communication with residents and families
