Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Shift Type: Night, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients at the bedside
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor and document patient status, vitals, and clinical changes in the chart
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to coordinate excellent care
Perform thorough shift handoffs to ensure continuity and safety
Support patient and family education with patience and clear communication
Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
Respond calmly and effectively in urgent or changing patient situations

Qualifications

Active LPN or RN license in Virginia (Virginia state licensure required)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (recommended or will assist as needed)
Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and thriving in a fast-paced clinical setting
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude
Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is a plus

Education

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing or nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and monitoring with a focus on safety
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Familiarity with electronic health records and clear charting
Effective communication and teamwork across disciplines
Basic wound care, ADL assistance, and bedside clinical skills
