Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) echocardiography exams with attention to diagnostic detail
• Conduct stress echocardiography, including exercise and dobutamine protocols, and perform contrast and bubble studies confidently
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Philips CX50, Philips EPIC, Siemens ACUSON SC2000, Siemens Origin) to ensure accurate studies
• Document findings clearly and timely in the EMR systems (Athena, Meditech, PICOM)
• Collaborate closely with physicians, cath lab staff, ER, and outpatient teams to optimize patient care
• Keep credentials current (RDCS/ARDMS, BLS) and follow departmental quality and safety protocols
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication before, during, and after procedures

Qualifications

• RDCS or ARDMS credential (CVCCI acceptable where indicated) required
• Current AHA BLS required
• Proven experience performing TTE and TEE, plus stress echo (exercise and dobutamine)
• Experience with contrast agents (Optison/Definity) and bubble studies
• Comfortable with pediatric TTE is a plus
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens ultrasound platforms and common EMRs (Athena, Meditech, PICOM)
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented attitude, and openness to feedback
• Left-handed scanner preferred

Education

• RDCS or ARDMS certification required; AHA BLS required (no specific degree stated)

• Equipment experience: Philips EPIC, Philips CX50, Siemens ACUSON SC2000, Siemens Origin
