Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging exams across adult and adolescent populations, including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, and chest/thorax
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely while monitoring patient response
• Start peripheral IVs for contrast administration and urgent imaging needs
• Support advanced CT procedures such as CT arthrography, colonography, biopsies, aspirations, drainage procedures, myelography, brain perfusion, and coronary CTA
• Float across OSU units as needed, providing imaging support in ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level III trauma, teaching-hospital environment to optimize patient outcomes
• Operate and troubleshoot Siemens CT scanners and PACS, ensuring image quality and workflow efficiency
• Contribute to teaching and mentoring activities for trainees and colleagues in the teaching hospital setting

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience
• Current BLS certification (required)
• AART certification (required)
• ARRT (R) or ARRT advanced certification preferred
• Ohio state license preferred or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
• Comfortable working in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings
• Experience with Siemens CT scanners and PACS strongly preferred
• Willingness to float across units and work block/holiday schedules

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic/CT Technologist program
• ARRT certification or equivalent credential
• Current BLS certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in CT imaging protocols and procedures
• Contrast preparation and administration expertise
• Peripheral IV start proficiency
• Experience with Siemens 128-slice scanners and GoTop Siemens systems
• Familiarity with PACS workflow and image archiving
• Ability to perform and assist with special procedures (biopsies, aspirations, drainage, myelography)
• Knowledge of advanced CT techniques: CT arthrography, CT colonography, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, transplant studies
• Comfort caring for a range of patient ages including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; NICU/PICU/Adult ICU experience a plus
