Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations of all body parts using professional judgment and radiation protection principles
• Maintain and document patient records, ensuring accurate image transmission for teleradiology reads
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC checks to keep equipment and imaging standards high
• Assist with interventional procedures and invasive prep while maintaining sterile technique
• Adapt protocols for pediatric and geriatric patients to provide age-appropriate imaging
• Set up and operate automatic injectors and manage contrast administration safely
• Provide patient transfers and compassionate care across age groups from newborns to geriatric adults
• Take call and respond promptly when needed; support the department during absences and peak demand

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography with CT certification (ARRT CT) required
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Demonstrated competency in CT imaging, radiation protection, and QA processes
• Comfortable performing venipuncture and contrast administration; familiar with automatic injectors
• Able to assist with invasive/interventional procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Competent with teleradiology/image transmission workflows
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and report to work promptly (ability to report within ~20 minutes as required)
• Completion of fingerprinting and any required background processing prior to start

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (CT) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging and cross-sectional anatomy
• Radiation safety and protection principles
• Radiographic examinations and image acquisition
• Quality assurance and equipment QC routines
• Image transmission/teleradiology workflows
• Contrast administration and familiarity with contraindications
• Sterile technique and support for interventional procedures
• Basic ultrasound and MRI familiarity, plus mammography exposure is a plus
• Patient assessment across the lifespan and strong customer service skills
