Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition accurately and promptly
Assist nursing staff with transfers, positioning, and safe patient handling
Maintain clean, safe patient environments and adhere to infection control practices
Document care and observations clearly in the medical record to support continuity of care
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Support patient dignity and comfort while fostering a positive, healing environment

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligible)
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background check and drug screen
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow care plans and facility policies

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection control standards and proper PPE use
Observation and reporting of changes in patient condition
Teamwork, time management, and basic charting skills
