Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Perform reliable vital signs monitoring and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and patient observations
• Support infection control practices and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Promote patient dignity and independence while delivering respectful, person-centered care
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to support excellent outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
• Active listing on the California CNA registry (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in a long-term care, acute care, or skilled nursing setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work night shifts (07:00 PM - 07:00 AM) and adapt to per-diem scheduling

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with essential nursing tasks: ADLs, vital signs, feeding and hygiene assistance
• Familiarity with basic infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Ability to document care clearly and concisely in paper or electronic records
• Good observational skills and the ability to escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
