Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and mobility support
Take and record vital signs accurately and consistently
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the care team

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Valid state authorization to practice in New Mexico or ability to obtain
Comfortable working night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) and flexible scheduling
Ability to pass required background checks and immunization/screening
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Prior experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on knowledge of ADLs, bathing, feeding and toileting assistance
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Basic infection control and safety practices
Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting basics
Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
Compassionate patient interaction and effective teamwork
