Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist nursing staff with vital signs, mobility, and basic clinical observations to support safe care
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment by performing bedside care and assisting with room upkeep
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Document care activities accurately and promptly to support clinical decision-making
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nurses and supervisors to keep everyone informed

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — must meet state requirements for Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
• Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care tasks
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of infection control and basic patient safety practices
• Skill in safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Basic clinical observation skills (vitals, skin integrity, toileting needs)
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks during a shift
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Comfortable using basic electronic charting or paper documentation systems
