Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; days vary)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding and toileting while preserving dignity
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team and families
Participate in care planning and contribute observations that improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active CNA credential in Pennsylvania or eligible for state reciprocity
Comfortable working evenings (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and flexible per-diem shifts
Willingness to complete facility-required health screenings and background checks
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of basic nursing care and ADLs (activities of daily living)
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Patient transfer and safe mobility techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Compassionate resident-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to nursing staff
