Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/Night shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and grooming
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nurse
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Help create comforting, person-centered experiences that preserve dignity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
Minimum one year of direct care experience preferred but new CNAs are welcome
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background/health checks
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Reliable transportation and flexibility to accept per diem shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification in lieu of advanced degree

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of resident-centered care and basic nursing procedures
Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
Good communication, time management, and observational skills
Ability to follow care plans and report changes promptly
