Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Night shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility while promoting dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Document resident care clearly and timely in the facility charting system
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe resident environment

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program
Comfortable working evening/night shifts and adapting to per diem schedules
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Background check and any required immunizations/health screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Infection prevention and proper PPE use
Clear, respectful communication with residents and team members
Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
