Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility and positioning to keep patients comfortable
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output and patient responses
• Support the nursing team by reporting changes in patient condition promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Must meet facility health, background check and immunization requirements
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, bathing, grooming, toileting and feeding assistance
• Able to take and record vital signs accurately and observe changes
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safety procedures and patient dignity
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow nursing care plans
