Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise lead and senior technologists, ensuring high-quality patient imaging and team performance
• Manage daily staffing and resource allocation to meet budget and productivity targets
• Implement and support department performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives
• Enforce regulatory standards and departmental policies (Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22)
• Perform and maintain competence in diagnostic imaging procedures and image quality control
• Act as liaison between patients, families, physicians and care teams to resolve issues and improve patient experience
• Coach, mentor and promote staff development while supporting employee satisfaction and performance management
• Collaborate with clerical, nursing, and service engineering staff to coordinate efficient imaging services
• Monitor departmental operations, report concerns to leadership, and recommend improvements for patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) OR ARRT license
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum five years as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
• Desired: three to five years prior supervisory/managerial experience
• Demonstrated leadership, strong communication and problem-solving skills

Education

• Associate Degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic positioning, radiation protection, radiation physics and radiobiology
• Experience with image quality control and quality assurance processes
• Familiarity with Joint Commission, ACR compliance, Title 17 and Title 22 regulations
• Patient-centered care and ability to address age-related physiological and emotional needs from pediatric to geriatric
• Performance improvement, resource management and operational leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills: coaching, delegation, conflict resolution and cross-department collaboration
