Certified Nursing Assistant – UHC Staffing

Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem overnight, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM Night (overnight/NOC, schedule as assigned)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility to promote dignity and comfort
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Support mealtime needs and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition
Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear resident records
Communicate effectively with residents, families and the care team to coordinate care
Follow infection control and safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain if required
Comfortable with overnight/extended shifts and providing hands-on resident care
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
Ability to take and record vital signs and observe clinical changes
Familiarity with documentation best practices and basic EMR/charting
Compassionate interpersonal skills and resident-focused care
