Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality portable and departmental X-ray studies, including ED imaging, ensuring accurate patient positioning and image capture
- Operate and manage imaging workflows using McKesson PACS and EPIC for accurate charting and image transmission
- Collaborate with ED staff, radiologists (in-house 8am–5pm), and fellow techs to deliver timely diagnostic images
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure appropriate use of badges and protective equipment
- Document studies thoroughly and maintain clear, timely communication in patient records
- Provide compassionate patient care, including safe patient transfers and communication tailored to patient needs
- Participate in department orientation and ongoing teamwork to support efficient, high-quality radiology operations
- Help maintain imaging equipment and escalate technical issues to appropriate support teams
Qualifications
- WA state DOH imaging license in hand (required)
- ARRT registration / Certified Radiologic Technologist (required)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Radiation badge required (traveler’s employer responsibility; facility will not provide)
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Minimum ~2 years radiologic technologist experience (acute care/larger fast-paced hospital experience preferred)
- Experience with GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu equipment preferred
- Proficiency with McKesson PACS and EPIC charting systems preferred
- Available to work Tuesday–Friday evenings (1:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
- Note: Candidates may NOT have been FT/PT/PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year
Education
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) — required
- WA state DOH imaging license — required
- BLS certification — required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in general X-ray and portable X-ray techniques
- Comfortable with ED imaging workflows and moderate-to-high daily study volumes (20–50/day)
- Proficiency with McKesson PACS and EPIC for image handling and charting
- Good knowledge of radiation safety and infection control
- Excellent patient positioning, trauma imaging familiarity, and attention to diagnostic detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
- Dependable time management, documentation accuracy, and teamwork
