Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends; AM 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Mid 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, PM 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM. Schedule includes weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities (typically 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care in a busy Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology environment, focusing on electrophysiology cases
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after invasive cardiac and IR procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, RT, vascular access team and pharmacy to coordinate smooth, high-quality patient care
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned: lead the team, prioritize cases, and support staffing and workflow
• Respond to call assignments within established response times and provide competent care during nights and weekends
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with ACLS/BLS and unit standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Cath Lab / EP / IR nursing experience preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Experience with telemetry, ventilator management, and vascular access
• Comfortable charting in Cerner and working with Mac Lab systems
• Charge nurse experience and ability to lead a team is a plus
• RCIS, ARRT, or CRT credentials preferred for team members (RCIS preferred but not required for RN applicants)
• Willingness to participate in weekend coverage and on-call rotations

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrophysiology and cardiac cath lab procedures
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring, ventilator support, and vascular access management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment with multiple suites
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and team collaboration skills
• Familiarity with Mac Lab equipment and interventional radiology case workflow
