Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate pediatric nursing care following established standards and within LPN scope of practice
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, families, staff, and providers to ensure coordinated care
Take and document accurate vital signs and perform effective triage for clinic patients
Manage medication refills and complete prior authorizations in a timely manner to support continuity of care
Give direction to CNAs and Schedulers and collaborate with RNs, Providers, Coordinators, and Clinical Managers
Support interdisciplinary teamwork to meet patient needs and contribute to a positive clinic environment

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Montana LPN license required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Experience in pediatric nursing, vital signs, triage, medication refills, and prior authorizations preferred
Comfort leading CNAs and coordinating with schedulers and clinical staff
Strong communication and patient liaison skills

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric nursing principles and developmentally appropriate care
Vital signs assessment and documentation
Triage decision-making and phone triage skills
Medication management and refill processing
Prior authorization procedures and insurance navigation
Team collaboration and interdisciplinary communication
Basic Life Support protocols and emergency awareness
