Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patients in a combined unit
Titrate sedation, vasopressor, and insulin drips to keep patients stable and comfortable
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret 12-lead EKGs, and respond quickly to changes
Collaborate with respiratory therapists to manage ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP
Float to sister units and the West Campus to maintain skills across ICU and PCU settings
Support patients and families through critical moments with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg in a larger facility)
Strong skills in titratable drips, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts

Education

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg nursing across varying acuities
Titratable drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
Ventilator, BiPAP, and CPAP management
12-lead EKG interpretation and bedside cardiac monitoring
Dysrhythmia recognition and rapid response
Floating comfortably between ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg assignments
