Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 weekend shifts per pay period

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide expert bedside care for critically ill patients across ICU and PCU units
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ABGs, and ventilator settings to guide treatment
  • Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedatives, and anti-arrhythmics with precision
  • Collaborate with intensivists and the rapid-response team during codes and emergencies
  • Support fresh post-open-heart and cardiac-surgical patients through recovery
  • Float across ICU, PCU, and MST units to meet dynamic staffing needs

Qualifications

  • Active Arizona or compact RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong EKG interpretation and ventilator management skills
  • Experience with arterial lines, chest tubes, and Swan-Ganz catheters preferred
  • Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts
  • Minimum one year of recent ICU experience

  • Critical-care drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Ventilator troubleshooting and weaning
  • ABG interpretation and rapid-response participation
  • Familiarity with IABP, CRRT, and Impella devices
  • Comfort working in a mixed ICU/PCU environment
