Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old
Manage complex conditions including neuro-surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, and cardiogenic shock
Titrate critical drips such as vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to all inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide needs
Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while thriving in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience
Valid driver's license at time of submittal
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and centralized monitoring
Ventilator management from nasal cannula to full mechanical ventilation
Drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-lines, Swan-Ganz, ICP)
Critical thinking and rapid response collaboration
Willingness to learn new equipment and protocols in real time
