Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless care
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed while maintaining excellent clinical standards
Complete a skills-based orientation exam with a 90% pass rate to ensure readiness for patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam during orientation

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current, unrestricted RN license

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and drip titration expertise
EEG monitoring proficiency
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
