Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
- Help create a safe, comfortable environment for recovery and rehabilitation
- Support residents with dignity and respect during every interaction
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification in Maryland
- Previous experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed state-approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and assistance techniques
- Infection control practices
- Effective communication with residents and families
- Attention to detail and observation skills
