Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all pharmacy operations for assigned site(s), ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant medication distribution.
• Partner with the director of pharmacy to develop and implement policies, procedures, quality assurance measures, and performance standards.
• Manage financial and operational performance: budget oversight, productivity monitoring, and continuous plan adjustments to meet targets.
• Lead and mentor pharmacy staff: recruit, onboard, develop, evaluate performance, handle corrective actions, and promote a positive partner culture.
• Collaborate with medical staff and cross-functional teams to maintain open communication and effective clinical operations.
• Work with information systems to optimize pharmacy information management, charge systems, and inventory control.
• Participate actively on committees (Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Patient Medication Safety, Nursing/Pharmacy, etc.).
• Step in to perform hands-on pharmacy manager duties as needed and take on additional assignments to support system objectives.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a hospital or health-system pharmacy setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills with experience in budgeting and quality assurance.

Education

• PharmD from an accredited college or university
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience
