Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert labor and delivery nursing care, managing labor progress and supporting safe births
• Deliver compassionate postpartum care to patients and families during the early recovery period
• Monitor maternal circulation and vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes quickly
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn stabilization as needed
• Assist in the operating room including scrubbing in for C-sections when required
• Collaborate closely with NICU and pediatrics teams for infants needing higher level care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established ACLS, NRP, and BLS protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) designation as indicated by the RN position title
• Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, and BLS
• Clinical experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum care, and maternal circulation
• NICU experience is a plus and preferred experience includes scrubbing for C-sections or pediatrics
• Ability to meet regional performance expectations and provide reliable, high-quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of labor and delivery processes and maternal-fetal monitoring
• Skilled in fetal heart monitoring, electronic charting, and interpretation of maternal vital signs
• Comfortable with neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn care
• Able to function in fast-paced OR and delivery room environments, including assisting with C-sections
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
