Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication and swallowing function and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to support patient progress and functional outcomes
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes promptly and accurately
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and family members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on strategies to maximize functional communication
• Monitor outcomes and adjust plans of care to meet rehabilitative goals
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for Massachusetts state license in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience working in acute rehab, skilled nursing, or post-acute settings preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Strong clinical documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a patient-first mindset

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• ASHA CCC-SLP (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
• Knowledge of evidence-based SLP interventions and outcome measurement
• Ability to create clear, concise, and timely clinical documentation
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a rehab setting
• Familiarity with assistive and augmentative communication strategies
• Strong patient and family education skills to support carryover and success
