Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing assessments
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that make a measurable difference
• Deliver skilled therapy sessions and adapt strategies to each patient’s needs
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients, families and caregivers to support progress outside sessions
• Document evaluations, plans and progress clearly and on time in the medical record
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive clinical culture
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with policies

Qualifications

• Valid or eligible for California Speech-Language Pathology licensure
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but new grads from accredited programs are welcome to apply
• Clinical experience with assessment and treatment of speech, language and swallowing disorders (experience level negotiable)
• Comfortable with electronic documentation and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Ability to pass background checks and meet client credentialing requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA-accredited program preferred)
• Clinical Fellow requirements or CCC-SLP credential helpful

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills across the lifespan
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and intervention techniques
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) approaches
• Skilled in clinical documentation, outcome measurement and progress tracking
• Excellent communication, time management and patient-family education abilities
