Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa De Oro Center
- Perform timely medication administration and accurate documentation
- Conduct routine assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to implement care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
- Maintain safe infection-control practices and follow facility policies
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license (licensed practical nurse) — New Mexico licensure preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable with medication administration, basic assessments, and charting
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous long-term care or facility experience a plus but new grads with clinical skills are welcome
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assessments and documentation
- Competence with medication administration and resident care procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changes in resident condition
- Familiarity with infection control and resident safety practices
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
