Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends; Day 4x10 (07:00 AM - 05:00 PM), Night 4x10 (10:00 PM - 08:00 AM); schedule may include 8-, 10- or 12-hour coverage depending on unit needs (manager will discuss specific schedule during interview)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate Siemens MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images across a full range of exams
- Perform MR angiography and venography (MRA/MRV) and special procedures such as cardiac MR and peripheral MRA when needed
- Prepare and administer contrast media safely, including starting peripheral IVs and monitoring patients
- Apply isolation precautions and PPE to protect patients and staff according to facility guidelines
- Use image post-processing techniques (MIP, MPR, ADC mapping, subtraction) to optimize diagnostic quality
- Provide compassionate care for patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics, ensuring a 1:1 patient ratio when required
- Document procedures and findings accurately in the charting system (Epic preferred)
- Collaborate with radiologists, transport teams, and support services to facilitate timely, coordinated patient care
Qualifications
- Washington state MRI technologist license in hand (required)
- Minimum 1 year MRI technologist experience
- ARRT (MR) certification preferred
- BLS certification required or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to start peripheral IVs and administer contrast media
- Comfortable working with Siemens MRI systems
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Trauma Level II, pediatric imaging, or adult ICU experience a strong plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program preferred
- ARRT (MR) certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in MRI protocols: T1-weighted, T2-weighted, diffusion (non-brain)
- MRA / MRV techniques and peripheral MR angiography (iliac, runoff)
- Image post-processing: MIP, MPR, ADC mapping, subtraction
- Surface coil selection and positioning for optimal image quality
- Contrast media preparation and safe administration practices
- Infection control: Isolation precautions and PPE
- Radiation safety principles and patient safety practices
- Strong patient care skills across lifespan: neonates through geriatrics
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic charting systems
