Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
• Collaborate with the care team to support continuity and quality of care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Respond effectively to urgent situations and escalate when needed

Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license in New Mexico (RN preferred for this posting)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recommended or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working independently on per diem/night shifts
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience is a plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic clinical procedures and bedside care
• Electronic health record documentation
• Critical thinking and clinical judgment during overnight coverage
• Team collaboration and clear communication
