Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for women in labor, through delivery and postpartum
- Perform thorough maternal and newborn assessments and monitor fetal status using fetal monitoring
- Prepare and maintain delivery rooms, assist with C-section preparation, and support induction management
- Administer IV medications and manage IV therapy safely and accurately
- Deliver immediate neonatal care and neonatal resuscitation when needed
- Document nursing care clearly and timely to ensure continuity and safety
- Provide patient and family education and emotional support throughout labor and postpartum
- Coordinate patient transfers and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Current CPR certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- ACLS certification required within one year of employment
- Preferred: 4 years of experience in obstetrics or labor and delivery care
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations and provide excellent communication
- Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and occasional shift rotations
Education
- Graduate of an accredited RN program with active Colorado RN licensure
- CPR required; NRP and ACLS required (ACLS within one year of hire)
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor and delivery procedures and intrapartum/postpartum care
- Fetal monitoring and interpretation
- Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and newborn care best practices
- IV medication administration and sterile technique
- Infection control principles and safe patient handling
- Skilled assessment, documentation, and patient education
- Familiarity or interest in obstetrics equipment and C-section preparation
