Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies with calm, effective action
• Maintain clear, timely electronic and verbal communication with staff and families
• Support transitions of care and ensure thorough handoffs at shift change

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (LPN candidates may be considered per class)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Demonstrated ability to work independently during night shifts
• Valid immunizations and ability to pass required background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner
• Comfortable with per diem scheduling and flexible availability

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate acceptable for LPN-class opportunities

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Basic wound care and IV/lines familiarity
• Sound clinical judgment and prioritization during busy shifts
• Clear, collaborative communication with care teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
