Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams (chest, abdomen, extremities, spine, skull) with accuracy and compassion
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment and assist with barium studies, contrast enemas and upper GI exams
• Support intraoperative imaging and C-Arm procedures in the OR and bedside portable imaging for all age groups
• Prepare and administer contrast media per facility protocols and safety guidelines
• Maintain and archive imaging studies in PACS and document care in Epic charting
• Provide patient-centered care across neonatal, pediatric and adult populations in ED, ICU, NICU and trauma settings
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and ARRT professional standards at all times
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support timely diagnoses and excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of radiography experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Teaching hospital experience required; community hospital and trauma experience preferred
• Comfortable working nights and every weekend (Fri–Sun) as scheduled
• Familiarity with Epic charting and PACS
• Experience with fluoroscopy studies and contrast administration preferred
• Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Note: Locals NOT accepted — permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (ARRT-eligible or -certified preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography (routine and specialty views)
• Fluoroscopy and GI studies (barium swallow, contrast enema, upper GI)
• PACS image management and Epic documentation
• C-Arm and portable imaging techniques (OR and bedside)
• Equipment familiarity: GE, Philips, Siemens (preferred)
• Ability to image neonates through geriatrics with sensitivity and skill
• Strong radiation safety practices and procedural asepsis
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity environments
