Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound and echocardiography exams including adult echo, contrast echo, and stress echocardiography
• Conduct vascular studies such as carotid, aorta, lower and upper extremity arterial and venous duplex and Doppler exams
• Complete OB/GYN and fetal imaging across all trimesters and provide accurate fetal measurements and anatomical surveys
• Perform breast, small parts, pediatric, neonatal and transplant ultrasound studies as needed
• Document all exams and findings thoroughly in Epic and manage images in PACS
• Assist with procedures including ultrasound-guided biopsy, fine needle aspiration and paracentesis when required
• Provide compassionate patient care with strict adherence to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines
• Support the unit by precepting clinicians and collaborating with radiology and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound/echo experience; echo and vascular experience are required (hardstop)
• Active registry or relevant certification preferred such as ARDMS, RVT, RDCS or CCI
• Current BLS certification required or preferred depending on facility guidelines
• Comfortable and experienced with Epic charting and PACS image systems
• Ability to work on-call evenings and weekends as described
• Strong patient care skills and familiarity with isolation precautions/PPE

Knowledge & Skills

• Echocardiography: adult echo, contrast echo, stress echo
• Vascular ultrasound: Doppler, duplex, carotid, aorta, lower/upper extremity studies
• General and specialty ultrasound: OB/GYN, breast, transvaginal, neonatal, pediatric, small parts
• Procedural support: ultrasound-guided biopsy, fine needle aspiration, paracentesis
• Image management and reporting: GE platforms and PACS
• Electronic charting proficiency in Epic
• Technical modes: Color flow, M-Mode, fetal biometry and anatomical surveys
• Patient-centered communication and infection control practices
