Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients using Hamilton G5 and C1 ventilators
• Perform ventilator assessments and adjust settings to meet patient needs and safety goals
• Deliver and monitor breathing treatments and airway management interventions
• Document all interventions and patient status accurately in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with ICU and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans
• Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies and support codes as needed
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure infection control standards are met

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (listed as required)
• ICU/critical care respiratory therapy experience (must have; 1 year minimum)
• Preferred: 3 years of critical care or level I trauma center experience
• Proven experience with mechanical ventilation and ventilator assessments
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation strategies and ventilator modes
• Skillful in performing breathing treatments and airway management
• Experience with ventilator assessments and titration in ICU settings
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR for documentation and orders
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
