Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift (exact start/end times vary; 40 hour week guaranteed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and use ASI criteria to inform placement decisions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Provide individual counseling and opiate addiction-specific counseling for methadone maintenance and detox patients
- Coordinate care with the treatment team and community/regulatory partners (e.g., CSAT, State Methadone Authority, Probation/Parole)
- Document timely and accurate clinical notes, treatment summaries, discharge plans, and UA results
- Advocate for patients' needs — from housing and dosing exceptions to community resources
- Perform crisis intervention and support patients during acute episodes
- Assist in program evaluation, development activities, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
Qualifications
- Must hold LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist) — required
- Experience working with opiate-addicted populations — required
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Skilled in comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, service coordination, and crisis intervention
- Ability to provide timely, accurate clinical documentation and maintain patient files
- Two supervisory reference forms required
- Must meet North Carolina state licensure requirements and be able to work on-site during business hours
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and treatment planning expertise
- Opiate addiction counseling and methadone maintenance experience
- Clinical documentation and case management skills
- Crisis intervention and individual counseling skills
- Ability to perform and interpret urine drug testing (UA) and incorporate results into care
- Familiarity with local community drug trends and effects of substances of abuse
- Experience coordinating with medical and regulatory entities and providing patient advocacy
- Comfort using EMR systems (SAMMS noted)
