Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist residents with daily living activities
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and observe changes in condition
• Support safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall-prevention protocols
• Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and care plans
• Assist with nighttime checks, hygiene, and comfort measures to promote restful sleep
• Adhere to infection control and facility safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Comfort and experience working overnight/extended shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nursing staff
• Compassionate patient-focused attitude and dependable work ethic
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification encouraged or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient hygiene
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic infection prevention practices
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail
• Calm problem-solving skills during busy or unexpected situations
• Respectful, empathetic communication with residents and families
