Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Rio Rancho center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility policies
• Perform focused patient assessments and report changes to the care team
• Document care and patient responses clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting independence
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility safety protocols
• Support a positive patient experience by communicating kindly and professionally

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico (or compact/licensure meeting state requirements)
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent training
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Ability to work per diem day shifts, including 12+ hour coverage as scheduled
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• Active LPN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic clinical nursing procedures
• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting in electronic health records
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs
• Professional bedside manner and effective teamwork
