Shift Type: Days vary, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (day shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs, intake/output, and basic observations accurately
- Assist nursing team with safe transfers, ambulation and fall prevention
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff
- Support residents emotionally and socially to promote dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state certification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED; current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and attention to safety and infection control
- Basic knowledge of vital signs, documentation and reporting
- Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and staff
- Compassion, patience and the ability to build rapport with residents
- Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
