Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and grooming
- Support safe mobility and transfers while following proper body mechanics
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Document care activities and observations accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- Ability to work per-diem day shifts, including the 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in geriatric care
- Ability to pass facility-required screening, background check and immunizations as required by employer
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic resident care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Understanding of patient safety and infection control principles
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
- Reliable documentation and time-management skills
- Teamwork mindset and willingness to follow care plans
