Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Assist with mobility and transfers to promote patient safety and independence
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any concerning changes
• Support feeding and hydration needs while encouraging patient dignity
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate changes to the care team
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Create a warm, respectful environment that supports patient comfort and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check and provide up-to-date immunization records
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Skill in safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Ability to take and document vital signs and basic observations
• Familiarity with infection control and hygiene best practices
• Good teamwork, time management, and attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
