Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Assist nursing team with vital signs, documentation, and reporting changes in condition
Create a safe and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' dietary needs are met
Build rapport with residents and families through respectful, patient-centered communication
Help with transfers and mobility support, using safe body mechanics and equipment

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-approved)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) card preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
Previous experience in long-term care or similar patient-care setting preferred

Education

CNA certification (state-approved)
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong person-centered care skills and respectful communication
Knowledge of basic patient care, ADLs, and resident dignity practices
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Ability to follow care plans and report changes to nursing staff
Basic charting and documentation skills
