Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and families
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection prevention protocols
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the facility charting system
• Collaborate with the care team to follow individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (required) — must be active and in good standing in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Prior experience as a CNA is helpful but per diem opportunities may be available to newly certified CNAs

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, observing and reporting changes
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Compassionate patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
