Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote dignity and independence
• Monitor and report changes in residents condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe and comfortable transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and timely following facility protocols
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that supports emotional and social needs
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident receives individualized attention

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Valid state authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clear background check and up to date immunizations as required by facility
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; compassion and patience required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living and basic patient care procedures
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Ability to observe, record, and report changes in resident condition
• Comfortable with safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow direction from nursing staff
• Good time management and basic documentation skills
