Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform routine assessments and monitor patients for changes
- Document care thoroughly and communicate updates in the EHR
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and safe patient discharges
- Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up needs
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment that centers on quality
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license in Maryland (RNs also encouraged to apply)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
- Comfortable with medication administration and clinical documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
- For RN applicants, an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is acceptable
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and resident care
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Clinical assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to changes in condition
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
