Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (day); occasional extended shifts up to 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and stay-late/on-call 1-2 times per week

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity preoperative and postoperative nursing care for cardiovascular patients with a 1:1 ratio when indicated
- Administer medications accurately using BCMA and follow safe medication administration practices
- Perform large-bore IV starts and assist with arterial, central line, and epidural procedures
- Assist anesthesia and surgical teams with induction/intubation, positioning, and intraoperative support
- Safely transport patients to and from the OR and ensure accurate handoffs to the surgical team
- Continuously monitor patients using GE Carescape and Fuji ultrasound as needed
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient status thoroughly in Cerner
- Communicate clearly and professionally with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Qualifications
- Critical Care experience required (the posting specifies critical care experience a must)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience (as listed in the job details)
- BLS certification required
- Demonstrated strong critical thinking and excellent documentation skills
- Experience with BCMA and medication administration processes
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity area
- PreOp or CVOR experience is a plus
- Comfort assisting with arterial/central/epidural placements and supporting induction/intubation
Knowledge & Skills
- Cerner electronic documentation experience
- GE Carescape monitoring systems
- Fuji ultrasound familiarity
- BCMA workflow and safe medication administration
- Large-bore IV starts and vascular access assistance
- Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and critical-care skills
- Clear communication and interdepartmental coordination
- Patient transport and perioperative processes
